The Medical/Clinical Program is one of three graduate programs in the psychology department at UAB. While there are no specific tracks within the MedPsych Program, students have access to training in the areas of General Psychology, Health/Rehab Psychology, Child Psychology, and Neuropsychology. Emphasis areas are determined entirely by the research and clinical experiences a student chooses to engage in. Descriptions of Training opportunities can be found below:

Neuropsychology at UAB
Research
Research practica opportunities exist both within the department and in the broader medical center. Some students may be involved with established research labs while others engage in research opportunities identified through clinical rotations. Students have been involved in neuropsychological research across various clinical and psychiatric populations. |
Clinical

Neuropsychology rotations occur in clinics that specialize in a broad range of neurocognitive pathologies including, traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury, stroke, brain tumor, viral encephalopathy, epilepsy, developmental disorders, and a range of neurodegenerative disorders, though this is not an exhaustive list. |
